What should I expect during my first visit?

On your first visit, you’ll be greeted by the Office Coordinator and given a tour of the facility, including where to store items, access snacks/coffee, and where you’ll meet with providers. After completing admissions paperwork, you’ll have a private intake session with a therapist to review your history, current symptoms, and goals. Depending on availability, you may also meet with the medication provider on your first visit.

What if my loved one requires a higher level of care?

In rare cases during intake, the clinical team may determine a higher level of care is needed. If so, a clinician will explain next steps and—if you consent—coordinate with a hospital or residential provider to support a safe transition and continuity of care. When appropriate, the team may rescreen for PHP or IOP based on clinical needs.

Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?

A referral is not required unless your insurance specifically requests one. You can call to request a screening for mental health services, and the team can help you schedule an appointment.

What are the hours of operation, and are walk-ins accepted?

To protect client privacy and confidentiality, walk-ins are not accepted. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. Some locations may also offer Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening hours from 4:00pm–7:00pm.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring any medications you may need during the day; lockers are available for storage. You can also bring a water bottle or snacks (snacks are provided), and a sweater or sweatshirt if you tend to get cold.

What if I have a planned vacation or doctor’s appointment?

Because of programming and insurance requirements, vacations typically can’t be accommodated during treatment. Since programming generally runs 9:00am–3:00pm, schedule appointments outside those hours when possible. If you must miss a day due to a pre-scheduled appointment, you may be asked to provide a doctor’s note for your file.

What if my insurance changes during my treatment?

If you anticipate changes in coverage, notify the team as soon as possible. Insurance changes can affect coverage details and out-of-pocket costs, and early notice helps the team keep you informed about any impact on your care.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Full-day structured treatment for adults who need intensive clinical support but don’t require 24-hour care. Clients attend programming during the day and return home each evening. PHP includes group therapy, individual sessions, and psychiatric support.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Structured daytime sessions for adults stepping down from PHP or those whose symptoms require more support than traditional outpatient therapy provides. IOP is designed to build stability and the skills needed to sustain progress independently.
